CHATA & MCB host Breakfast Meeting at Omundo


Members were educated on ‘Changing Consumer Behavior’

Willemstad (May 23rd, 2016) – After the successful Breakfast meetings in 2015, CHATA hosted its first breakfast meeting of 2016 today at Omundo. The Breakfast meeting at Omundo featured a presentation by Ms. Carol Johnson of Tripadvisor who explained the details of changing consumer behavior.

After a delightful breakfast, sponsored by CHATA member & partner, Maduro & Curiel’s Bank; Tripadvisor provided insight on how business’ can alter their ranking on Tripadvisor’s website. Curaçao is growing in popularity amongst travelers as the Curaçao page on Tripadvisor was visited by 7.9 million people in 2015. The latest digital trends were also addressed, specifically on how to be responsive and adaptive to the reviews of guests and how to capitalize on the rise of mobile engagement. Furthermore, Carol Johnson provided information on how to use the management center on the Tripadvisor website to a companies’ advantage. This included tips on how to take control of the companies’ page, encouraging guests to review services and how to respond to those appropriately in a timely fashion.

The attending members at the MCB Breakfast meeting immersed themselves in an informative and interactive session, after which all parties were enticed to request clarification on matters which were still unclear to them.
