CTEX lights up Curaçao’s most advanced telecommunications hub

Willemstad,CTEXdatacenter Curacao Technology Exchange (CTEX) in partnership with UTS, the local telecommunications company and OpenLink, an international networking integration company announced today that they have successfully lit up Curacao’s most advanced and modern networking hub at the CTEX datacenter. The new telecommunications hub enables local and international customers to connect to an advanced networking grid capable of providing massive and reliable bandwidth access domestically and internationally. Multiple diverse fiber communication routes have been implemented over the past year, providing domestic customers guaranteed access to the datacenter facility. The datacenter facility itself is connected through diverse paths to multiple distribution points on Curaçao as well as connections to existing international submarine cables located on the Southside of Curacao. Too, the CTEX facility is connected directly to new high-powered international submarine cables on the North side of Curaçao thus providing unique access redundancy for domestic and international customers who seek to locate their critical computing infrastructures at the CTEX datacenter. For customers collocating their computing infrastructure and critical systems at the CTEX datacenter, this means access to high-end networking bandwidth thus enabling super fast and secure access to critical applications maintained on servers at the CTEX datacenter. The CTEX datacenter is the region’s most advanced and most secure Tier-IV datacenter providing customers a 100% uptime guarantee. The Uptime Institute, the world’s prominent datacenter certification body officially certified the CTEX datacenter for design in June 2013. This week CTEX undergoes five days of final testing to be concluded on Friday. At that point, CTEX will enter production and Curaçao will be one out of six countries in the world to have such high-end facility certified not only for design but also for constructed facility. An official opening event is scheduled for March 8 to be attended by dignitaries and business executives locally and from around the region.
